Let's talk logistics

As your big day gets closer, I'd love to understand the finer details so I can help serve your vision. The purpose of this survey is to cover the logistics, timeline, and people dynamics associated with your day. It also gives me a sense of where your planning is at and how I can help. Feel free to share as much or as little as you like, and when something doesn't apply, feel free to skip it.

More to discuss that isn't covered here? I want to hear from you!

Please send me an email if there's more I can do or note before we get to celebrating you.

I highly recommend answering these questions in consultation with your soon-to-be spouse!

The happy couple

Photography Priorities

A great place to share your unstructured priorities and hopes.

Our reactions during speeches; the placeholder chair for a missing loved one; Claire's 92 year old Grandma Florence.

These are shots you've dreamed of and would be sad not to see as a part of your gallery. This does not mean you're responsible to imagine every possible capture - rest assured your memories will be documented with care and artistry.

I've dreamed of art-forward bridal portraits. Put me in the bathtub in my dress!

We love the staircase at our venue and would like a portrait there

We don't like corny prompts. We don't need formal groomsman photos.

Please don't toss my invitations up in the air, that trend is killing me! We don't really like traditional detail flat lays. Can you get creative with it?

Expectations

This is a kind reminder that I consider myself a collaborative and ego-last professional. This means you should feel confident being direct, clear, or even creative during our time together. From now until your big day, I invite you to feel inspired and share ideas for shots you'd like, or offer critical feedback where necessary. While I do not guarantee that any one shot can be delivered, I hope this questionnaire gives you confidence in my preparation in support of your day.

What you can expect from me:

  • I'll help keep portraits relaxed, fun, and true to your taste

  • I'll gently guide our time together in a way that's confident but centers you

  • I'll direct group photos efficiently

  • During the rest of the day, I'll mostly document things as they naturally unfold. I prefer to play background.

  • If something unexpected happens, please don't worry. We'll adapt together!

Don't forget that your only job is to enjoy yourself. Your photos are going to look great. Why? Because you were there and you had fun.

Final Call

We meet for a fleeting day, but it's a pretty big one in your life. I take that seriously. How else can I make you feel good day of? Compliments? Checking in and asking how you're feeling? Minimizing questions? Taking the lead? Feel free to share what makes things nicer or harder for you so I can be aware.
